People, departments and permissions

Three departments

Every person belongs to one department. The department decides which parts of FactoryPulse AI they can open.

• Administration: everything, company-wide. This cannot be reduced.
• Production: Production, Orders, Inventory and Machines.
• Finance: Finance.

View, add, edit, delete

For each area you can allow or refuse four things: view, create, edit and delete. The role name is only a label you choose, such as "Shift Supervisor"; it does not change what a person can do. Permissions do.

Invite someone

1. Open Users and choose Invite user.
2. Enter their email and a role name, pick their department and set their permissions.
3. Send the invitation. They get an email with a link that works once and expires after 7 days.
4. If it expires, open the person in Users and send the invitation again.

Seats on your plan

Your plan allows a set number of Administrators and a set number of Production and Finance people. People who are invited or active use a seat. If every seat is used, deactivate someone you no longer need, or move to a bigger plan.

Deactivate, never delete

People and records are deactivated, not erased, so your history stays complete. A deactivated person can no longer sign in and no longer uses a seat.
